Cottage imageA few years back, I moved into my dream home. It's not a palace by any stretch, but I love it, and you want to take care of the things you love. The house, and grounds, needed some work and I got on the phone. Of the ten people I called about the yard, one called me back. He got the job. They worked one day, I paid them, and never saw or heard from them again, even though there was still a weeks worth of work left to do.  I finished what I could on my own.

A month or so later I received a mailing from a landscaper who promised prompt, professional attention. He came, he saw, he cut, and said he'd return in one week to cut it again. He didn't come back the next week, so I called, and called, and called. He never called back. Finally, after three weeks, he showed up and cut the lawn. I paid him and we spoke again about cutting once a week. He never came back.

When the central air cut out on a blistering hot July day, I was told by two different HVAC contractors that they weren't taking any new customers. Then why do you advertise? It seemed to me that there had to be a better way.

HomeProjectZone.com sprung from the desire to have a place where qualified home project providers, who are ready and able to take on work and get it done on time, could meet with homeowners and business owners that have work that needs to be done.

People who have work meeting with people who want work. That's a good idea.
